Preparing for Events

Dress to Impress. These are no black-tie events, but treat them as real dates so dress on the nicer side of smart casual. If you're coming straight from work you're probably fine. Just remember, it's always better to be overdressed than underdressed.

Arrive Early. Always assume the events will start right on time.  We suggest you play it smart and arrive at least 15 minutes early. This gives everyone a chance to relax, have a drink, but most of all, it gives you an opportunity to meet your fellow event-goers early. This is prized time - don't be late!

Bring a Friend For many, having a friend in the same room is a great comfort and does a lot to help relieve stress. Dating with a friend also allows you the opportunity to compare notes on those you met afterwards.

Keep an Open Mind A brief chat or a simple conversation can be enough time to get a good first impression, but not enough to truly get to know someone. Give people the benefit of the doubt. If you're not sure how you feel about them remember, they're probably a little nervous too...
